Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Immaculately clean and well furnished. All the amenities provided were well thought out and felt very cosy and welcoming from the minute we walked in. The cottage is dog friendly as hard floors in the living areas and has a large enclosed back garden which also includes a bonus trampoline for our children:) The local pub (The Grapes Inn) is about 300 meters walk from the cottage and is both dog and children-friendly with amazing freshly made piazza and a roaring fire. The surrounding area has so much to do so Brookfields was the perfect place to use as our base. This is honestly one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in where we all just felt ‘at home’ straight away. We were a party of 6 and 1 dog and never felt on top of each other. The 2 sofas in the lounge are huge as is the kitchen table. We will definitely be coming back as Flamingo Land is about 15 mins away, which is on our to-do list….. Again 🙂

Great cottage, spacious, clean, very well furnished, garden is safe to just let your dog out, off road parking for 2 cars, can not recommend highly enough.

What an amazing property it has everything that you could possibly want in a holiday cottage we have never stayed in a property that offers so much in comfort great views will accommodate 6 people easily we will be booking it again without hesitation fantastic place beautiful village setting.

Clean, comfortable and quiet! Brookfields is ideally located to explore this area of Yorkshire. The accommodation is to a very high standard as it’s obviously a much loved second home. We all had a great nights sleep after evenings spent in the private, peaceful garden and lounge.Castle Howard is 5 mins away and is stunning with the city of York less than half an hour. The village of Slingsby is very pretty and The Grapes Inn well worth a visit especially for the fresh made pizzas!Would happily book again and will recommend to anyone looking to visit this part of Yorkshire

Excellent cottage with everything you could need and more, great views from the rear garden. Sheep were a real treat.Great pub and sports bar in walking distance.Friendly village.Close to lots of attractions.

Best cottage we have stayed in. Condition, decoration and features all of high standards. Some technology features were new to us (alexa and nest) but we managed. Upper bedroom did not have full blackout so if sensitive to lighness in bedroom take an eyemask.In a quiet picturesque small village in unspoilt countryside. A local pub (though only pizzas on the menu) and a sports and social club (open to visitors) within easy walking distance. Pleasant of tourist spots to visit. Would be our go to choice if back in area.

This was a absolutely lovely cottage, done to a very high standard on everything. All the double bedroom with super bed linen and pillows. To the well equipped kitchen with everything needed. Gorgeous Gorgeous.

we have just stayed a week in Brookfields cottage it is outstanding we have never stayed in a property that is so well equipped there is nothing more that you could ask for its very clean and warm it is a home from home so much so that we have booked it for next year
